The following are minimum and recommended system requirements for OMS software.
In order for OMS to run optimally, you must ensure that your system meets these minimum requirements.
The requirements for memory and processors are based upon typical client installatons — more RAM or disk space may be required when running OMS in conjunction with other software. This is especially true for anti-virus and anti-spam software.
Hardware
- At least an Intel Pentium 4/AMD Athalon for the main processor.
- At least 512Mb RAM.
- At least 14" monitor screen running at 1024 x 768 pixels resolution.
- At least 20Gb hard drive space.
- All PC's networked in standard Windows configuration (peer-to-peer or workgroup), with adequate user authorisation enabled.
- One PC designated as server for the OMS SQL Server database.
Software
- Microsoft Windows 2000 or above operating system (US/UK version only) for client workstations.
- Microsoft Windows 2000 operating system or above (US/UK version only) for database server. (Vista is not currently supported for this role).
- Microsoft Office 97 or above (necessary for document management and mail-merge modules).
- Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or above (necessary for business questionares module).
User Knowledge
- Users have typical working knowledge of Microsoft Windows operating system environments.
- Users know how to use Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Microsoft Windows Explorer to a standard level.
